Parliamentary constituency is derived from postcode as held on either the DMAS or LMS system. This postcode relates to a claimant's place of residence and not the Jobcentre Plus office administering the claim.
In a very small proportion of cases, where parliamentary constituency can not be assigned directly from the postcode, it is randomly assigned within the Local Authority area in which the Jobcentre Plus office administering the claim is based. There are a very small number of records that are still recorded as unknown because data on both the postocde and administering Jobcentre Plus office is unknown.
