Dataset: Personal Independence Payments (Cases with Entitlement)
Description
Duration refers to the time between a decision being made to award PIP and the claimant’s entitlement to PIP being stopped, as recorded on the PIP Computer System at the end of the reporting month. Claimants may move between Normal Rules and Special Rules in the journey of a claim. Claimants awarded under special rules for the terminally ill who are under State Pension Age are required to make a new claim (advanced claim) should they still require the benefit after 3 years. Terminally ill rules indicator is taken at the end of the reporting month.
