Description
For Overseas NINO registration data, Quarter of registration is available.
Classification
Quarters are as follows:
1st January to 31st March
1st April to 30th June
1st July to 30th September
1st October to 31st December
The series starts at January 2002 and continues to the latest quarter available. The number of categories will increase each release with the addition of the latest quarterly data.
A "rolling year end xxx" field is also provided on the Dataset. The year to the latest quarter will always be provided. So for example, if June 2023 is the latest available quarterly data, the "Rolling year end June" will be available on the Dataset. See the individual "rolling year end..." meta-information pages for further details.
Quality Statement
Figures are based on recorded registration date on the HMRC National Insurance Recording and Pay as you Earn System, i.e. after the NINo application process has been completed. This may be a number of weeks or months (or in some cases years) after arriving in the UK
