Field: Household composition by children

Description

The composition of the household by children, as reported by FRS respondents, where:

• A household consists of one person living alone or a group of people (not necessarily related) living at the same address, who share cooking facilities and share a living room or sitting room or dining area. A household will consist of one or more benefit units.
• A dependent child is defined as an individual aged under 16. A person will also be defined as a child if they are 16 to 19 years old and they are:
• Not married nor in a civil partnership nor living with a partner; and
• Living with parents (or a responsible adult); and
• In full-time non-advanced education or in unwaged Government training

Classification

Applicable to: all individuals in a household.
