Description
The total amount of annual income, in bands, received by a family (benefit unit) from State Support in latest prices (CPI-adjusted real terms), as reported by FRS respondents, where:
- A benefit unit may consist of: a single adult, or a married or cohabiting couple, plus any dependent children. Same-sex partners (civil partners and cohabitees) have been included in the same benefit unit since January 2006.
- An individual in a family (benefit unit) is in receipt of State Support if they receive one or more benefits (either income-related or non-income-related), or are being paid Tax Credits.
Classification
Applicable to: all individuals in a family (benefit unit).
- Not in receipt of any benefits or tax credits
- Less than £10,000
- Between £10,000 and less than £15,000
- Between £15,000 and less than £20,000
- Between £20,000 and less than £25,000
- £25,000 or more
